Where to Find Eki Stamps (駅スタンプ) in Tokyo

Posted by Grace on June 11, 2025

I love hunting for eki stamps, also called station stamps (駅スタンプ), and commemorative stamps (記念スタンプ / 記念印) in Japan.

Eki stamps are small rubber stamps you can collect from train stations and many tourist attractions. They make great, free souvenirs to remember the places you’ve visited. You’ll find them at train stations across Japan (especially JR stations). Each one is unique, usually featuring local landmarks, mascots, or historical elements.

Commemorative stamps are similar, but you can find them at museums, tourist spots, castles, roadside stations (michi-no-eki), observation decks, theme parks, and more.

For me, it feels like a treasure hunt that encourages deeper exploration. Japanese people are so clever for coming up with this!

In this article, I’ll share where to find eki stamps in Tokyo.
